HOME BUYING PROCESS
While the home buying process can seem intimidating, once you know what to expect it is actually pretty simple. Knowing what to expect before you begin the process can lessen any anxiety associated with it, as well as educating you should any issues come up during the process.
When starting the home buying process, you are first going to choose a REALTOR that you want to work with. Any of our wonderful REALTORS are ready to help!
STEP 01
Once you have chosen your preferred REALTOR, you will meet with them to discuss your needs, wants, and timeline.

Determine your purchase parameters: Location, Price, Style, etc.
Next, you will want to acquire a Pre-Approval to help enhance your negotiating position prior to looking at homes. Your REALTOR would be happy to recommend a qualified lender.

Now you and your REALTOR can start looking at homes!
Once you have found the right home, your agent will write up and submit your offer to the listing agent.
STEP 06
Once the seller has accepted your offer, you will need to submit your Earnest Money Deposit to your REALTOR. This will be held in an escrow account by your chosen settlement agency until closing.

In order to prepare for closing, you will need to schedule inspections according to the terms of the contract. Your REALTOR can provide recommendations. You are welcome to attend the home inspection!
Your lender will order an appraisal for the home.
Your lender will communicate with you regarding your loan application. Closing logistics will be coordinated with the settlement agency.
STEP 09
Prior to closing on your new property, you will attend a final walkthrough with your REALTOR. This will ensure the property is in acceptable condition and any necessary repairs have been completed.
STEP 10
Lastly, for closing, you will need to obtain a cashier’s check for your down payment and closing costs (if applicable), sign your loan documents, receive your keys, and move in!
